I had hoped that getting DSL would fix this whole mess. So far, it's only making my life even more miserable. For one thing, in case anyone else was totally unaware of this, MSN SUCKS! I mean, it's right up there with AOL in my book right now on the scale of suckiness. I am SUPREMELY not happy and I think I'm going to be spending most of Monday on the phone either having my ass totally kissed by MSN people or getting something else NOW.
So. I have DSL. That's good. Things load fast, it's very nice. I feel like I've finally got my actual driver's license (instead of my learner's permit) for the web and I'm really cruising now.
I also have the flu. That's not good. I mean, more not good than it usually is when you have the flu; Fighter's birthday party is tomorrow. Argh. Fortunately my boss is apparantly germ-phobic and about 5 seconds after I told him I was sick he offered to put me on-call for the night. Nice. :)
Twenty years of time wasted on MSN products. I hope something better comes up soon. After spending many thousands of dollars on hardware, software and my patience due too the poor quality of their product. It's about time they pay us back. Products they knew from the beginning did not work were sold to "WE THE PEOPLE" (let them fix it policy). MSN GIVE US SATISFACTION (fix it)OR A FULL REFUND!!! NO MORE EXCUSES!! Gates, don't steal our money!!!!

Yep! We have Expose and I'm quite happy with that; we open PDF's all the time for the kids' school work and acrobat used to take FOREVER and crash all the time. And yes, we have iTunes and that is freaking AWESOME, I am in LOVE! LOL! I have been to the music store and I've decided I don't want to do that very often because I will spend too much money! :)
As for the DSL, it's still early but that isn't really the problem--DSL is working fine at this point. It's MSN I'm having issues with!

I'm sorry about the DSL problems. That's all I ever hear about DSL. Problems!
Hey, how do you like OS X? Did you get the latest version with Expose? I use that all the time! Also, does that mean you have iTunes now? Huh? Can I send you music? Oh! Go to the music store!
I love my mac.

Updates: MSN was not sufficiently ass-kissy, so they are being booted and we are getting a better deal anyway. We'll have Qwest.net (that's our local phone service, my dad works for them), plus I get a domain name for my website. Nice! So the new date for my cyber-life getting back to normal is Feb. 11th (fingers crossed!)
Fighter's birthday party went well; I felt decent, and the kids had loads of fun.
The night my boss put me on-call at work was the busiest night *ever*. When I asked him why he didn't call me in, he said "Because I FORGOT about you until 10 o'clock!!" He was saying this in a How-Could-I-Have-Been-So-Stupid tone of voice but all I could think was that I must be rather insignificant to be so easily forgotten! *sigh* He even called in the guy he fired last week and re-hired him!
To make up for it, though, later that night another co-worker mistook me for another girl who works there. An 18 year old girl who works there. An eighteen year old girl who weighs about 50 pounds less than I do. WOOHOO! :) Okay, so were both wearing the dumpy Dominos jackets and we're about the same height & both have ponytails...but STILL! That's just not something that happens all that often...actually NEVER...
